My book is going to be 15 pictures of 15 of my friends jumping coupled with a brief bio/ interview for each. I plan on printing the pictures on picture paper, but the book overall will be kinda scrapbooky with coloured paper and stuff. I’ll be using some sort of hard bristal paper for the cover. Maybe some ribbons/ fabric / buttons? I can totally feel Bishop hating it already. Anyway.
1. What is your book about?
-Well my book is going to be a way of documenting who my friends are, and maybe some good memories we’ve shared in the past. And they’ll all be jumping because I like taking movement pictures.
2. What makes your content choice specific to you?
-The fact that it’s about my friends makes it specific to me. And the fact that there will be photography in it too, because that defines me as well.
3. How are you going to represent your content?
-I’m going to represent my content in the form of pictures and interviews.
4. How do you intend to communicate the content?
-I intend to communicate my content by taking photos that represent my friends well. For example, the ballerina in our group, Liz will probably be doing her jumping photo in a tutu. DT’s a rugby player so I might try and take a picture of him jumping to catch a rugby ball.
5. What content editing methods will you use?
-I’ll be editing my photos with GIMP, and I’ll use Microsoft Word for the typing because the interview portion will be pretty basic. And it’ll be printed on coloured paper and then cut out anyway.
6. What media are you using to make your imagery?
-I’m taking photos for the imagery. And maybe some cutouts and scrapbook items like buttons etc. I’m really into multimedia.
7. Why are you making this particular book?
-I’m making this particular book because I want to use photography in this project, and I only do portraits, and I usually only photography my friends.
8. How does your choice of content suit your skills, experience, and interest?
-My choice of content suits my skills, experience and interest because I’m into photography, and I love to take jumping photos. And I love my friends. And I’m working on getting better at photography.
9. Describe the style and look of your book and how it is linked to the content.
-Well my friends are mostly girls so the scrapbook look will work pretty well. Also, we’re all really energetic people, so the whole jumping thing makes sense.
