Heighway Dragon Curve
So, I made a program that creates this cool fractal. Basically, this is how it works:
1). Start with 'XY'
2). Replace every X with X+YF+, and every Y with -FX-Y (so 'XY' becomes 'X+YF+-FX-Y' after one generation)
3). After a desired number of generations, remove all the X's and Y's from the resulting word and you should be left with F's, +'s and -'s.
4). Then start at a point and follow the directions like this: 'F' means move forward by one unit, '+' means rotate by 90 degrees clockwise, and '-' means rotate 90 degrees counterclockwise.
After following all the F's, +'s and -'s that remain, you get a cool image called the Heighway Dragon Curve:
Now, this above image draws a line one unite forward for every 'F'. If I instead draw an oval of a small radius, I get a smoother image that could be used as a topological map of sorts for games, etc...:

Branding Assignment
Logo
Sketches
Business Card
Sticker
My brand is for a sports apparel company. The company is called AC Sports. AC stands for my initials (Alex Copp). The logo is very clean and simple. It uses only grayscale (black and white for AC and gray and black for SPORTS). The curved thick letters with the thin black outline create smooth, 3 dimensional effect for the AC that contrasts the simple sans serif text of the SPORTS. The logo is supposed to appeal to anyone involved in athletics: sports teams, athletes, coaches, etc. The benefit of the logo being simple is that it can be easily embroidered on the company’s apparel. This company will design almost all sports apparel imaginable: custom jerseys, sports equipment, water bottles, gym bags, T-shirts, etc. The 2 identity system pieces I have chosen are a business card and a sticker
AC
Identity Stuff
This is my brand. The aesthetic of my design has always been pretty simplistic so I decided to maintain this look. If you know me, you know I feed myself a disgusting amount of fast food and I thought what better way to identify my work than to make it fast and fresh like our beloved McDonalds. So the first three pictures here are from my website, and the last image would be the front and back of my business card.
More will be coming.

Graphic Design Work Term 2 or whatever this is...
Although I will admit, I haven't been around much to do work in class this term, I HAVE been doing some design work. Here's a few things
So I've been coming up with logo / identity concepts for an upcoming stock company in Calgary.. My client doesn't respond too quickly, So I'm not sure which logo we're going with yet.
This big mess displays my various ideas for the E.S.A logo. Not a fan of any of them really. Very 1990.
I've been working on a little publication here at my co-op for a client who's in the construction business. Slowly learning InDesign.
Here's a website I've designed in Dreamweaver. It's not running on the internet quite yet, but hopefully come summertime it will be up. It's a cool business they've got going here.

Field Assignment: Found Letters
If you don't involve yourself with drugs, but want to look whacked out like I do.. go onto somebody's computer and make words out of their application logos.
Bish, please put up new assignments. Frankly, I'm a little disgusted with my work
Time Spent Doing Things
I go to school. See the friends. Come home. I eat a lot while studying. Then I play games on my laptop for wayyy too long, also while eating. Then around 12:30-1 am I play the piano really loud and wake up the whole neighbourhood. I get very little sleep. I play soccer in the summer. That's pretty much me. -R.R
My Graph
So I did a graph of my average weekly sleep cycle... it's kind of erratic and fuzzy and messy.... much like my actual sleep pattern...
all the images were kinda ment to look like dream bubbles... but it failed a bit..
the higher up the image, and the larger the image, the more hours I spend doing it....
also adorable kittens, like promised...
why kittens you ask?
1. I love kittens and sleep with my cats each night
2. I sleep a lot, much like kittens and cats
3. why not kittens?

Brand
I apologize for the inconvenience, but I tried loading my brand onto this blog over the weekend and was confronted with an error in the HTML (something about META or MATA) which barred me from posting it.
However, it's on my memory stick and will bring it with me the next time I am in class.
I also apologize for the inconvenience (wow I'm causing a lot of inconveniences, I'm sorry about that too) that I couldn't be in class today, and regret to inform you I won't be able to make it to the && meeting after school, in which case I have posted my picture here for you to use.
I realize this is a materialistic, developed nation "problem", that of texting, so if you'd like me to change it simply comment on this image.
