Headspill

For this assignment, you will be creating a self portrait that shows the contents of your brain.
Do a thumbnail sketch of your head and brainstorm what the contents of your brain would look like if they could be seen.
Pair up with a partner and take a photograph of your head.
Mask your photo to contain only your head and a transparent background
Convert the document to greyscale.
You may use actual objects, hand drawn imagery, words, photographs or a combination of them
Create a new document 8x8” at 300dpi greyscale, transparent background and name it with your name followed by headspill.
Drag the masked head into the document.
Begin building the objects in your head.
Try to make the objects appear as if they are actually emerging from your head
Create a white background
paint in any drop shadows or lighting effects necessary to make your head portrait look like it is actually in the space.
Save the finished file and submit it through your handin folder.
Save a jpeg copy of the image and post it on the blog.
